The FLIR FH-Series ID is a multispectral fixed camera that pairs a 640 × 512 thermal sensor with a 4K visible sensor and FLIR Edge AI video analytics. It detects and classifies people and vehicles day or night, in low light and in challenging weather — and with FLIR Nexus it hands a tracked target off to supported fixed and PTZ cameras.

Two sensors. One decision.
-
DETECT WITHOUT LIGHT
A 640 × 512 VOx microbolometer at <25 mK NETD detects thermal contrast rather than visible light, so perimeter monitoring continues through darkness, glare, smoke and light fog.
-
CLASSIFY AT THE EDGE
FLIR Edge AI with Deep Neural Network (DNN) and Fusion AI analytics distinguish humans and vehicles from nuisance movement at the camera, reducing false alarms and operator load.
-
VERIFY IN 4K COLOUR
An integrated 4K visible sensor with varifocal optics gives operators a colour confirmation of what the thermal channel detected — including intruders in partial view or moving at speed.
-
HAND OFF AND KEEP TRACKING
FLIR Nexus pairs the FH-Series ID with supported FLIR fixed and PTZ cameras for seamless object tracking across a wider perimeter.
Eight thermal optic options
Each configuration pairs a thermal optic with a matching visible module, so the thermal and colour channels cover the same scene. Select the field of view around site geometry, target size and required detection distance; GoThermal can specify the lens from a site plan.

Built for high-consequence sites
IP66 and IP67 ingress protection, IK10 vandal resistance, MIL-STD 810G 1000-hour salt-spray corrosion resistance and a −40 °C to 70 °C rating suit exposed perimeter applications. Typical sites include mines, utilities, energy and fuel facilities, ports, logistics yards and municipal infrastructure. The FH-Series ID is a thermal and visible camera with AI video analytics; it does not provide radiometric temperature measurement.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a multispectral and a thermal-only camera?
A multispectral camera carries two imaging sensors — thermal and visible — so an operator can detect a heat signature with thermal and confirm what caused it in colour. A thermal-only camera provides the thermal channel alone.
Can it detect intruders in complete darkness?
Yes. The thermal channel images heat rather than light and needs no illumination, which is why it performs in darkness, glare and most adverse weather.
Does it measure temperature?
No. The FH-Series ID is not a radiometric camera. If you also need contactless temperature measurement, the radiometric FLIR FC-Series AI-R or FH-Series R is the appropriate model — GoThermal can combine both in one system.
Which lens should I choose?
Wider lenses cover a broader area at shorter range; narrower lenses put more pixels on distant targets. The choice follows target size, detection distance and scene width. GoThermal will recommend a configuration from your site layout.
Does it integrate with my existing VMS?
It supports ONVIF Profiles S, G and T, NEXUS SDK and NEXUS CGI, which covers FLIR UVMS and most third-party video management platforms. Compatibility for a specific platform is confirmed during system design.
