The FLIR FCB-Series AI is a compact thermal AI analytics bullet camera for perimeter protection. Onboard deep neural network analytics classify humans and vehicles to cut false alarms, while a 12 µm, sun-safe VOx detector with sensitivity below 20 mK holds clear thermal contrast in darkness, fog and rain.

Perimeter intelligence at the camera edge
-
SEE THROUGH BAD WEATHER
Industry-leading thermal sensitivity — VGA <20 mK — delivers high-contrast targets in darkness, fog, rain and other challenging conditions, with no illumination required.
-
REDUCE FALSE ALARMS
Onboard CNN and DNN analytics classify humans and vehicles and detect region entrance, intrusion and fence-crossing events at the camera, so operators receive qualified alarms.
-
COVER THE BOUNDARY PROPERLY
Five premium lenses span fields of view from 18° to 50°, letting a single camera be specified for a narrow approach corridor or a wider boundary run.
-
DOUBLE-DUTY FOR CROWDED SITES
Built-in heaters keep the window clear of fog, and audio line in/out is available for two-way or event-linked audio where the site requires it.
Five lens options
Every FCB-Series AI lens is f/1.0, and each configuration is available in VGA or QVGA resolution — specify the resolution you need when requesting pricing. Detection distance follows focal length: the 4.3 mm optic covers the widest boundary run, the 24 mm optic puts the most pixels on a narrow approach.
| Model | Field of view | Focal length | f-number |
|---|---|---|---|
| FCB-350 AI | 50° × 40° | 4.3 mm | f/1.0 |
| FCB-334 AI | 34.1° × 27.3° | 6.3 mm | f/1.0 |
| FCB-632 AI | 32° × 25.6° | 14 mm | f/1.0 |
| FCB-624 AI | 24.3° × 19.5° | 18 mm | f/1.0 |
| FCB-618 AI | 18° × 14.4° | 24 mm | f/1.0 |
Specified for African perimeter conditions
The FCB-Series AI carries an IP67 / NEMA 4X enclosure with IK10 vandal resistance, ISTA 3A handling shock, ISTA-tested packaging and a −40 °C to 60 °C cold-start operating range. Typical applications are property boundaries, restricted zones at mines and processing plants, substations and utility sites, warehousing and logistics yards, and remote or unmanned installations where an always-on thermal presence is more economical than lighting.

Frequently asked questions
VGA or QVGA — which should I specify?
VGA (640 × 512) gives four times the pixels of QVGA (320 × 256) and better sensitivity at <20 mK, so it suits longer detection distances and classification at range. QVGA suits shorter-range boundary coverage and is the more economical option.
Does it need lighting or a visible camera?
No. The thermal detector images heat and needs no illumination at all, so it works in complete darkness. A visible camera is only needed if you want colour identification, which is why the FC-Series AI-R and FH-Series ID remain appropriate alongside it.
Is it radiometric — can it measure temperature?
No. The FCB-Series AI is an analytics and detection camera, not a radiometric one. If you need contactless temperature measurement for hot-spot or early fire detection, specify the FLIR FC-Series AI-R or FH-Series R.
Can I mount it on a pole or corner?
Yes. FLIR lists pole-mount, corner-mount, 4S electrical box and back-box adapters for this housing. GoThermal can include the correct accessory in the quotation once the mounting surface is known.
Does it integrate with my VMS?
It supports ONVIF Profiles S, G and T, NEXUS SDK and NEXUS CGI, covering FLIR UVMS and most third-party video management platforms. Compatibility for a specific platform is confirmed during system design.
