One Sensor. Multiple Layers of Intelligence.

Capture thermal, multispectral, panchromatic and RGB data in a single flight

Altum-PT Pro brings multiple imaging technologies together in one integrated payload, allowing operators to collect complementary datasets without flying separate sensor missions.

Because the image data is designed to be pixel-aligned, spectral and thermal information can be compared more consistently during analysis — particularly valuable when looking for subtle crop, environmental or asset changes.

Detect and measure subtle temperature variations using the integrated FLIR Boson 640R thermal sensor.

Multispectral

Capture five purpose-built spectral bands for advanced vegetation, crop and environmental analysis.

Produce detailed visual imagery and high-resolution spatial data for mapping, inspection and machine-learning workflows.

Advanced Radiometric Thermal Imaging

Powered by FLIR Boson® 640R

The integrated 640 × 512 FLIR Boson 640R provides radiometrically calibrated thermal infrared data, significantly increasing the level of thermal detail available within the Altum platform.
At a flight altitude of 60 m / 200 ft, thermal ground sample distance reaches approximately 8.75 cm per pixel, allowing operators to identify subtle temperature differences across crops, soil, infrastructure and other assets.

Applications

Crop water-stress assessment
irrigation analysis
canopy temperature monitoring
solar-panel inspection
power infrastructure inspection
industrial temperature monitoring

Leaf-Level Multispectral Precision

See variations that conventional RGB imagery can miss

Five dedicated multispectral bands work alongside the panchromatic sensor to generate high-resolution datasets reaching approximately 1.2 cm GSD at 60 m AGL with appropriate post-processing.

This level of spatial detail supports individual-plant analysis, crop counting, early stress investigation and other workflows where small features matter.

High-Resolution RGB & Panchromatic Imaging

More detail from every mission

Altum-PT Pro produces 12.4 MP RGB output alongside its multispectral and thermal information.

The high-resolution panchromatic sensor can be used with the multispectral data to produce finer spatial detail, while the global shutter helps prevent the geometric distortion associated with rolling-shutter image capture from a moving UAV.

USE CASES AND APPLICATIONS

Designed specifically for UAV and vegetation mapping

Pressure issues and clogs detection in irrigation systems

Altum-PT’s thermal imagery can help identify clogs and irrigation leaks through the water cooling effects or lack thereof on the vegetation and ground. Areas with excessive irrigation will appear noticeably cooler than the rest of the field. Areas with no irrigation will show higher temperatures than the rest of the field.

Irrigation scheduling

Determining irrigation time, frequency, and duration is a critical factor in production agriculture since it directly impacts the health of crops. Altum-PT thermal imagery provides powerful insights into water management, helping irrigation managers determine the correct watering and identify leaks or clogs in the irrigation system by the difference in crop canopy and soil temperature.

Disease, pest and nutrient deficiency detection

With the high-resolution multispectral imagery from Altum-PT, users have a better chance to identify problems affecting the physiology of the plant canopy. Diseases, insects, and nutrient issues often cause physiological damage before symptoms are visible in RGB. Using the different multispectral indices and composites of the pan-sharpened data, these issues can be detected sooner.

Plant phenotyping

Manually measuring plant characteristics is time-consuming. Altum-PT captures more data in less time, allowing researchers to more easily understand how different traits react to different growing conditions.

Fruit yield estimations

Popular fruit yield estimation methods like manual fruit count or time series analysis are time-consuming and expensive. Altum-PT offers a combination of high-resolution RGB, multispectral, and thermal imagery, enabling more precise yield predictions by allowing algorithm-based fruit counts and temperature analysis.

Water stress prediction

Canopy temperature is a valuable indicator of plant stress. Altum-PT thermal imager allows farmers to periodically evaluate plant physiological status and detect subtle changes in canopy temperature that could be an indicator of water stress.

Radiometric calibration

DLS2 light sensor

DLS2 light sensor

The Downwelling Light Sensor (DLS2) is an advanced incident light sensor. It measures the ambient light and sun angle for each of the five multispectral bands of the camera. This information can then be used by specialized processing tools to correct global lighting changes in the middle of a flight, such as those that can happen due to clouds covering the sun.

CRP2 reflectance panel

CRP2 reflectance panel

The Calibrated Reflectance Panel (CRP2) is a compact on the ground radiometric calibration tool. The panel has pre-measured reflectance values across the visible and near-infrared light spectrum and therefore acts as a “control”. Taking a picture of the calibration panel allows you to assign the known reflectance values and adjust your dataset accordingly during post-processing. As a best practice, CRP images should be captured before and after each flight to provide an accurate representation of light conditions during the flight.
